The Synagoghe El Tránsito was built in 1366 by Samuel Leví, and it belonged to the Hebrews until they were expelled by the Catholic Monarchs. It eventually became a Christian temple.
Its walls are decorated with beautiful friezes and Hebrew inscriptions, as well as different decorative plant and Mozarab motifs.
The museum exhibits the history of the Jews in Spain with a collection of liturgical and traditional Sephardic objects.
