Convent of Santo Domingo El Antiguo

This is one of the oldest buildings in the city and its magnificent altarpiece was painted by El Greco. The convent was built in the 11th century and refurbished in the 16th century.

The church has a Latin cross plan with a single nave, exhibiting a vast collection of altarpieces and paintings from El Greco, with many of his works in the choir.
