This ancient church, which dates back to the 15th and 16th centuries, features an interesting Mudejar apse and beautiful coffered ceilings from the Middle Ages.
The palaces, commonly known as Casas de las Reinas (Queens' Houses), were built inside the convent, giving onto a magnificent patio (el Patio de Enfermería), a Mudejar-style construction dating back to the 14th century and featuring extraordinary plasterworks.
Inside the church, we can find the tombs of Isabel of Portugal, first born daughter of the Catholic Monarchs, and Inés de Ayala, the great-grandmother of Ferdinand, the Catholic King.
Both the church and the museum, featuring works by Luis Tristán and Juan van der Hamen among others, are open to the public.
