This chapel was built over the ancient Visigoth basilica of Santa Leocadia, which was built again in 1166. Only the Mudejar apse remains from this century, with fragments of the Visigoth style.
The inside hosts El Cristo de la Vega. The arm of this peculiar image is hanging from the cross, and this story was later to be narrated by the famous legend of the Spanish poet Zorrilla called "a good judge will have an even better witness".
