This magnificent building is probably the construction that best exemplifies the charm and features of the city and was built during the years 1226 and 1492.
The main construction pattern of the cathedral is Gothic but many different styles of art are represented in its decoration, with such styles as the Renaissance in the choir stall, Mozarab in the chapel or Mudejar in the anteroom.
The sacristy is a true museum itself, with works from very famous artists, such as El Greco, Rubens, Zurbarán, Lucas Jordán, Vand Dick, Tristán and Goya, among others. However, the whole cathedral is to be considered as a museum that is worthy of admiration.
