Sephardic Museum

The Synagogue of El Tránsito lodges inside the Sephardic Museum , where the historical and geographic setting of the Jewish peoples is shown.

Through its rooms and patios you can see the course of their life and culture, from the Old East to the Greek culture, their arrival to Spain, life in the Roman Age and their relationship with the Visigoth culture and the Gold Age; History in Christian Ages, the Inquisition, their expulsion…

A permanent exhibition with over 1.253 finds takes us to their life and customs; in the patio we can see an archaeological excavation related with the storage of water.
