There are buses to Madrid every 30 minutes as well as nine trains daily. In both cases the journey - express service - takes fifty minutes, and arrives at Madrid´s terminals (South Bus Station, Atocha and Chamartín railway stations) where there are immediate connections - buses, underground, suburban trains - to other destinations and Barajas international airport. If you go by car the journey is slightly less, 45 minutes to the centre of Madrid or 60 - 70 to the airport. From Toledo bus station you can link up with other destinations in the province or region.

Swing to the complications of the old part of the city, the fixed regulated areas, and the easy walking distances, it is advisable to use car parks.
Toledo is the perfect city to go over on foot. All its monuments, museums and interesting places are very near each others.
It is advisable to wear comfortable shoes because there are so many slopes, and most of its roads are paved with small stones.

Generally, shops in Toledo open from 10am to 2pm, then from 4.30pm to 8pm.
In the summer, shops usually open later in the afternoon 5.30pm and close at 8.30pm.
Some establishments have different opening hours, such as banks and public entities which normally close at 2pm.
Certain shops in the tourist area do not close for lunch.
